Time to Spring Clean Your Life

When most people think of the term ‘spring clean’ they normally envisage feather dusters and rubber gloves. Now whilst deep cleaning your home is an important aspect of spring cleaning you can delve much deeper than that. If you’re constantly feeling tired, stressed and overwhelmed it may be time to Spring Clean your life.

Spring Clean Your Home

A great place to start with your spring cleaning is your home and physical surroundings. When we are constantly surrounded by clutter and mess it affects our ability to focus. Spend some time decluttering your home and work space to allow the energy to flow better. If you have items that are broken, worn out or that you no longer use get rid of them. They are just collecting dust and serve no purpose. Being surrounded by things we love to look at helps to inspire us and keep us motivated.

Spring Clean Your Mind

Spring cleaning your mind is slightly more involved but still a necessary process. Often we have lots of different thoughts running through our head throughout the day. Experts have even estimated that on average we think somewhere between 60,000 and 80,000 thoughts per day! That’s 2500 to 3300 thoughts per hour.

A lot of those thoughts are not important and we don’t need to store them yet sometimes they get stuck. Learning to release thoughts which are no longer serving you makes way for new thoughts and ideas to take their place.

If you find yourself constantly overthinking, start a journal to record and monitor your thoughts.

Spring Clean Your Relationships

Contrary to popular belief people do change throughout their life. We are constantly changing and evolving as we are exposed to new ideas and experiences. Which is exactly how it should be. This can however cause rifts in old relationships that no longer match our new lifestyle. It's natural that people will come and go throughout your life. Don’t be afraid of letting go. By letting go you make way for new relationships to form with people who matched your current frequency.
